Buisness History

In 1953, Tremblay Group Welding is founded by Mr. Jean-Marie Tremblay. They started with a modest 450 square foot shop. At that time, they specialized in the fabrication of ornamental iron. This will always be the inspiration of a firm in constant evolution.

Because of his determination, Mr. Tremblay progressively increased the amount of customers he served thus, his sphere of activity. Ten years later, in 1963, as proof of his success, the company moved into a new 2600 square foot shop. Since the firm was well located, it became increasingly known and the number of customer grew rapidly.

In 1974, following the request of a major client, the firm developed a special process that permitted them to start fabricating cathodic plates, pieces used for zinc electrolysis. This innovative process also allowed them to accelerate the rate of production and to increase the quality of their products. The team’s cleverness was profitable out of the country because the firm exported this technology to North America, South America and Europe.

In 1977, in order to respond to the ever growing needs of its customers, the firm decided to move all their installations to St-Anicet, an impressive 12 000 square foot facility.

Thanks to these spacious new premises, the firm was able to expand into the field of fabrication and installation of steel structures, as well as industrial maintenance services. Their excellent reputation and competent staff permitted the firm to take an important place in their field of application.

The year 1987 was marked by a total restructuring of the company. During this transition period, the firm would be known as JM Tremblay Welding inc., witch is now the Tremblay Group. It was at this time that Mr. Pierre Tremblay assumed the direction of the business. He gathered a group of experienced partners to help him respond to their client’s incessant needs.

From this moment on, the firm’s success was promoted by the qualified shareholders, whom with the management, shared the same global vision. In 10 years, the firm increased their installations fourfold and made considerable acquisitions of automated ultra modern equipment. This allowed for optimal growth of their activities in the field of construction. In 1997, the Tremblay Group was distinguished by receiving the bronze medal for small and medium enterprise, given by the National Bank of Canada. And further, in order to insure quality products, it was ISO 9002:94 accredited.

Even after being subjected to many transformations, the Tremblay Group has sustained that their mission and values are the same since the day of the creation of the firm in 1953: Respond effectively to the customers needs, offer products that surpass the quality norm and depend on a dynamic and talented team that understand the philosophy of the firm. Whatever the scale of your projects, Tremblay Group is confident that they will always satisfy your requirements.
